A Daily Christmas Letter??

A blog kind of feels like I'm writing a daily Christmas letter. It feels a bit ostentatious, but I guess it's really no different than sending a single email or telephoning. Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up yet...and I do love reading everyone else's stuff, I'm just new at this.

It's already the second week in January! I can't believe how quickly time passes. Last year I began the year with a goal to run a 5K race every month. For the most part, I accomplished that goal - I missed 3 of the 12 months. I ran the Resolution Run again this year on New Year's Day. I was satisfied with my effort (20th in my age group) and I'm going to continue trying to run a race a month this year. I enjoy the challenge!

Luke and I watched our alma mater in one of the best football games in college history. We had a lot of fun cheering for the Broncos. I have to admit that I wasn't a very good fan the last few minutes of the game (I couldn't watch during overtime...). Alternately ranting and hooting left me emotionally drained! As much as I hate football, watching that game was really fun.

Norah has started attending Nancy's Noah's Ark preschool full time. She loves school. She is learning to write her name and is very interested in letters and numbers. She constantly asks us how to spell words. She likes to rhyme her words and then ask how to spell them. In the grocery store she was singing loudly "miss, fiss, tiss, piss...mom, how do you spell piss?" I tried not to laugh as I spelled it for her. She has a delightful personality and keeps us laughing.

I'm curious to see what this year will bring...stay tuned.

I was thinking it would be fun to read blogs about some of the books you are reading. Since I have no time to read anything these days (although i bought the search for belief and new family traditions). Just envious of your book club is all ... :) love you on blogger!!!!!
